Onpu Segawa is the rumored "Genius witch apprentice" who appears near the middle-end/final arc of Ojamajo Doremi (first season). In which she is the
the cheeky Ojamajo
Antangonist of the season who enjoyed messing with Doremi and co. Though rivals, they seemed to be on semi-good terms, but she made it clear she was not going to lose to them. Being ahead many levels in terms of magic skill.
Over time Onpu slowly learned that she was using bad magic and soon realized that Doremi and the others really did care about her. To save them from being disocvered as witches, she used her forbidden magic a final time, unfortuantly her charm keeping her safe began to rot away then and she fell into a deep slumber before being rushed to the Hospital.
After they forfeit their magic and save her, she officially befriended the group and officially joins the following season, Sharp.
Onpu was born on March 3, 1991. Her blood type is B, and she loves crepes and waffles. But hates Pimento/Peppers.
Onpu Segawa is a cute, popular, well-known child idol. She is very busy, staring in movies, television shows, recording albums, modeling, radio shows, and holding concerts. Due to how busy she is, Onpu sometimes has trouble with her sleep, which causes her minor-health related issues some of the time. Such as passing out in Gym Class or falling asleep during class.
Calm and cool headed, anytime a problem arises involving her she denies it instead. To the point of being called stubborn or cold. She also has small bouts of depression on occasion. Like when she was beginning to feel threatened by an upcoming rival, or when she began doubting herself and tried to figure out why she worked so hard when someone could easily replace her just because they're the next cute thing.
Due to her busy sceduales, Onpu often misses out on things at the Maho-dou. During Sharp she and Aiko got into an arguement due to this. Who, sort of claimed that Onpu was being a bad mother to Hana-chan, due to missing out on things. Which in turn caused Onpu to become secluded from the others and she refused to even speak to them unless she had to. As Aiko soon learned of her true feelings, she went to visit her and apologize for her accusations.
Its revealed that Onpu always makes up for the times she misses, coming in every night when its late to sing to Hana until she falls asleep.
Onpu also happens to be a very talented girl who is often complimented for being cute. She comes off as indifferent, and is rarely ever angry. But this causes her to unintentionally hurt peoples feelings also due to how blunt she comes across. The only time Onpu seems to get seriously angry is when people do not take things they are passionate about seriously.
Onpu has shown to be very smart, creative, sharp, and crafty. To the point of noticing many things other people
Onpu's doubts lead to problems
miss. But she also has problems expressing her real feelings some of the time and instead chooses to keep it to herself. When others worry over her, she simply puts on a smile to please them before going back into her sadness.
Due to being friendly and charming, Onpu has made many friends and fans and even has fanclubs dedicated to her in school and other locations. Even older males, ranging from adults, to teenagers, to even old men fall for the cute purple themed girl!
Everyone loves her...except for Tamaki who is very jealous of her.
Onpu Segawa is a pale-tan skinned girl with short, just about the shoulder light purple hair. She has three, single pieced bangs, two big bangs/side parts framing her face, and wears part of her hair in a side ponytail held with a green scrunchy. Rarely it has been shown down, to which its about chest length. Her eyes are uniquely styled in both shape and coloring inside. Being square-like instead of circles, and lacking of iris. They are a slightly darker shade of purple then her hair.
Onpu's color theme is purple and mint green/pastel yellow.
During the first season and Sharp, Onpu wore a loose mint green T-shirt under a thin strapped lilac dress, above the knee dark purple short pants, and yellow and white tennis shoes.

Onpu in Motto, Dokkan, and Naisho
Onpu's second outfit worn during Motto, Dokkan, and Naisho Onpu gained a pastel yellow hair scrunchy and wore a lilac colored T-shirt dress with pastel yellow lining on the bottom, and a thin pastel yellow ribbon/string around her chest. Her short pants remained the same, while her tennis shoes lost their shoe-laces.
As a model, Onpu has been seen in multiple different attires. Many more in comparison to the others. Ranging from ninja costumes to ballerina and cosplay! She owns many beach, dress, and fancy attire costumes. She even wore a Kangaroo suit once, but as this was really Hana-chan she was very embaressed by this...
For the beach Onpu usually wore a pale yellow bikini with thin purple circle markings and a knot-tie at the chest.
One of her winter outfits is a puffy yellow jacket with a purple scarf and mittens, boots, and earmuffs.
For bed time Onpu wears a lilac pajama set with ruffles at the end of her pant legs and top. Golden music notes are seen around the end of the top.
As a little girl she wore a light green dress with long sleeves and a ribbon at the center, with lilac shoes and Yellow ball shaped hair holders.

During the opening of Ojamajo Adventure: Naisho no Mahou, for a concert Onpu wore a pink tube top undder a white opened vest-like jacket with no sleeves with matching white skirt with a single pink stripe along the top, white boots/long socks and shoes.

Soon after the Ojamajo had defeated Majoruka, Onpu came across her while at an idol camp and discovered the fact she was really a witch. Causing her to turn into a Witch frog. So in order to turn her back, Majoruka made Onpu become her apprentice. Onpu's reaction to this wasn't shown but she did enjoy the cute witch outfit as she tried it on.
At first, Onpu knew she was rivals with Doremi and co. Claiming she would defeat them easily. Proving this by how far she advanced to them and her use of forbidden magic. Despite her acting friendly to them, she made them even aware she was the rival. Due to this, they had no clue she was a witch until witnessing her using forbidden magic to win a contest. Onpu likes to tease the group and is usually always one step ahead of them.

It's made known that Onpu liked the idea of becoming a witch, in order to help her career. While being an idol in the human world she also became known as an "Apprentice witch Prodegy". Reaching the level 4 exam after only doing the first couple with perfect marks. Majoruka also made her a special charm allowing her to cast forbidden magic as much as she wanted.
Onpu also learned the writing system of the witch world, which were shaped as music notes. She puts this to good use at the beginning of Sharp when the girls had come to the Witch World to return an item Majorika left behind.
Over time as she learned Doremi and the others did care about her, she reformed and joined them while still having Majoruka as her manager.
Roro
Her yousei, Roro, resembles Onpu and even has her unique eye style/shape. The yousei, much like Onpu is very cute and charming and enjoys playing games with the others. When the other yousei seem to be causing trouble, or about to do something stupid she'll sit back and watch normally. Already seeming to know this wont work or will end badly. She is very helpful however.
Onpu casting forbidden magic
Its also worth noting that due to her appearence, Oyajide may prefer her over the other yousei. Such as when they used their teenage forms to try and please him inside the computer, he seemed to really like Roro and wanted her to rub his back for him. But she tricked him by trading off with Mimi at the last second. Which resulted in him being pummeled.
Onpu's Crystal Ball, is purple in the shape of a slightly curved rain/tear drop. It vaguely resembles her ponytail, but may also reflect her personality.
Onpu kept in touch with Doremi through phone calls for a while until about a year ago when Doremi lost contact with her. Onpu mysteriously vanished and did not appear at the reunion, though Hazuki explains she did contact her and tell the others she apologizes for not showing up. Later its revealed that due to Majoruka heading back to the witch world she's been busy trying to find new management.
Due to the many issues she is currently facing, Onpu took a new identity/name. Now during auditions for product promotion she is known as "Karen Kirino/Mirino". While she has a lot of problems with the media and being an idol somewhat still, Onpu makes it known she doesn't plan to quit no matter what, she really does enjoy her idol status, even if it comes with a cost...
Even later everybody finds out that Onpu is hiding out in Hokkaido, where she has once again become a witch. Oyajide and the ojamajo go to help her and ask to become apprentice again in order to help her keep both her witch status and other personal things from the Media.
Onpu is shown to still look the same like the others. But she has taken on a womanly figure and wears her hair down to her chest now with her ponytail being smaller. In promotional images, she is shown to wear a very pale green-yellow School uniform top with green under the cuff, a green string-styled bow at her neck, green pleat/ruffle skirt and white stockings/kneesocks and school shoes.
Her past
Onpu when she was little
As she grew up, Onpu was in her mothers shadow and seemed to only be doing these things because her mother forced her. Until Onpu as a child told her mom she wanted to become an Idol. To which she supported fully.
Onpu was a very curious little girl and liked to explore the town when she could take the time to do so. She often would climb the pathways, climb up on the telescope to look through it, try to hop up and grab fruit off of a tree. But she was generally careful and liked to play also.
Her family
Onpu's mother, Miho Segawa grew up as a child idol much like Onpu did. But after she got into an accident on stage, the shock and embaressement led her to quit. Because of this, she is often haunted by the memory.
Onpu's father, Tsuyoshi Segawa. Is a train conductor who is often away due to business. Onpu gets very sad if she misses the only time he can visit.

Oyajide is an evil wizard with a massive crush/stalker-like obsession with Onpu. While he may be mean and tends to cause trouble for the Ojamajo, he's always the least harshest to Onpu herself. Even stopping in the middle of a fight to give her something or talk to her. Hazuki also points out Onpu is his major weakness and he listens to her radio show whenever its on and tries to attend every concert or film work she has. Onpu and the others seem severly shocked by his attraction and he hates being embaressed in front of her.
Tohru of the Flat 4 is Onpu's match of the group. He wants to be popular like she is but Onpu scolds him plenty of times because he refuses to act seriously. Tohru believes Onpu to be a rival, but seems to have feelings for her as well and at the end of their Sharp episode, joins her fanclub. Since then, he's been subtly flirting with her, but she doesn't seem to return the affection...
In sharp, Nobou Oozawa was a boy of the week Doremi fell in love with. But he instead flirted with all of the girls while in private.
Gouji Nakata a nerdy boy in their school who is great with Computers has a crush on Onpu. His episode in the first season deals with this, leading in heartbreak when he learned the special message he was given was also sent to a bunch of other male fans. However, its shown he still likes her afterwards.
In fanon, Onpu is often paired up with Aiko or Momoko. But she has been paired with everyone numerous times.
Relations with the other Ojamajo
Doremi: Doremi thinks Onpu is very cute and Onpu likes to tease her in a playful way. Doremi has no problem begging Onpu for help, even while she was an antagonist.
Hazuki: Both girls are noted for being the more quiet members of the group and seem to have a lot in common.
Aiko: Onpu and Aiko are often seen together through the series and media. They get along well normally and care about each other with a Sharp episode dedicated to their friendship. In Onpu's times of need, Aiko is often the one to help first. While she was an Antagonist, Aiko didn't like Onpu but Onpu managed to manipulate her into trying to use bad magic against her father. In the end Aiko didn't, but held no mean feelings for Onpu either and managed to convince her to solve a problem that Hehe caused.
Momoko: At first Momoko offended Onpu and made her angry. Once Momoko apologized they became fast friends and are often seen together.
Hana-chan: Onpu seems to be very smart when it comes to raising Hana-chan and sings her to bed almost every single night. Hana-chan unfortuantly causes trouble while trying to help her on multiple occasions but she makes it clear she really worries about Onpu and likes to see her happy. Despite not being there all the time, she does think Onpu is a good mother to her, Onpu even went as far as to eat something she hated in order to help Hana-chan try something new.
Poppu: She thinks Pop is cute and way smarter then Doremi. Pop really cares about Onpu and has hung out with her a few times.
Magical Doremi
Onpu is now called Ellie Craft. Her dub voice is somewhat the same in tone in comparison to both series. While high in pitch, its quiet and calm. With only a slight bit of snooty at the beginning.
While Onpu was charming and cunning, giving cheeky remarks while still coming off cute. Ellie was rude and snobby, but in a "trying to make it sound nice but obviously its meant to be mean" way. But she still likes to tease the others too.

Onpu has had her hair down twice. Once for a wig during Sharp and in Naisho, though some people believe the second time to be a wig which it clearly is not.
Onpu is the first ojamajo with unique eye and inside eye styling. She is one of the few characters lacking a pupil.
Onpu is the only witch who broke the forbidden magic rules more then once, but it was always the same one. Manipulating peoples feelings. Suprisingly she never broke the one both Hazuki and Momoko did.
Onpu arrived in Episode 35 of the first season. In said episode, her audition number is 35.
Despite fans and things counting her as the fourth Ojamajo. Onpu is really the fifth if you count episode appearence wise. In which the order is Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, Pop, then Onpu.
